Brantley Telephone Company is proud to provide the superior quality and reliability of landline telephone service.  As an incumbent local exchange carrier (ILEC), we have served our customers since 1945 with the goal of offering quality services at fair prices.  Our customers deserve a thorough understanding what they are paying for, so we hope you find this section of our website helpful.

The Federal Universal Service Charge is also added and caculated quarterly.  Please call for the current rate.  All rates are subject to change.

New accounts are subject to installation charges:

  • $22-45 - Connection to the network
  • $60 - First phone jack installation ($40.00 per additional)

Local exchange calling is defined as voice communications using the public telephone network, and includes all incoming and outgoing local voice calls within BTC's calling scope. In addition, BTC local service includes: a white page listing in the directory*, access to operator services and directory assistance for an additional fee, and access to telecommunications relay service and other services for persons requiring special assistance or access to emergency services.

*Note: A monthly fee of $1.25 will apply for a non-published number and $1.00 for a non-listed number.
